If you don't want another baby, don't look...

Because even though my youngest is only 7 months (and keeping me quite busy, thanks), meeting 8-day old Isabel made my uterus ache. Isn't she amazing? I was absolutely honored to photograph her today, and she is such a lucky baby with one of the most amazing mothers ever. So patient, kind and filled with joy and love for her daughters. Thank goodness she had the patience of a saint with me today after getting peed and pooped on several times by little Miss Isabel--I hope it was worth it. :)

(A, let me know if you'd like any of your sneak peeks for your announcements. Congratulations! You are so blessed.)

Wildflowers, polka dots (and Barbie tattoos)

M is my adorable neighbor with an unbeatable personality and presence. I wanted to do something fun with her since she doesn't seem like a walk-around-the-county-park type of girl. Thankfully my neighbor was awesome about M's dress getting totally soaked (I got soaked, too!). On the way there, we also found this fantastic patch of wildflowers. Normally, I only choose one as my sneak peek, but I simply couldn't decide between these two. By the way, she's hiding a killer fresh Barbie tat on her back. That's going to be some fun Photoshopping! :)

Daddy's boy

Daddy certainly had the magic touch with this little guy after what had been much of a serious session. A little flying around, and he was all smiles.

On the move

It's funny how much you forget just how curious 18-month-old boys are, until you meet an adorable blue-eyed, blonde-haired one like B, below. The traditional sit-and-pose-and-smile type of portrait was definitely out of the question--but I think the images of families being families are much more honest and interesting anyway. I hope they feel the same way, too.

Ducking rain

You know how in the tropics it rains for about 10 minutes and then is beautiful? That was sort of our weather today (minus the bananas and sweltering hot heat and beach). After much debating whether or not we were going forward with this session, we met only for it to start raining the moment we got there. So in between 5- and 10-minute bouts of rain, we managed to squeeze in a few good photo series--and no one seemed to get too terribly wet, either.

Big baby blues

I promised this beautiful babe's mom that I'd capture her big blue eyes. Hopefully, this one will make her first Mother's Day extra special.

First Mother's Day

I always have such special memories of when my family just began--when we were just three, and me and my husband were muddling our way through the beginning of parenthood without a clue what we were doing. Even though it was stressful, it was also simple, and I had loved how our lives had changed and were filled with even more love because of the special baby we had made together.

I was reminded of that today when I was taking pictures of this gorgeous 3 month old. I know dad didn't necessarily want to be in the pictures, but I'm glad he agreed. I love the contented feel of this--and the love they have for her is nearly tangible. Happy first Mother's Day, J.

It's always the boys with the lashes...

Not that they need those awesome lashes to be handsome guys! It was a double C session this morning with the younger one being an adorable 5 month old chunker with the beautiful brown eyes. (I'm allowed to say they're beautiful since he's under a year, right? ;) And the older C was just as cute as could be--and so cooperative and helpful too! I'm ready to hire him as my assistant in about 8 more years!

Blessed...

Congratulations to J--she recently made her first holy communion, and is still glowing! She and her sister were a delight to photograph, and were just as sunny as the beautiful morning. I hope they enjoyed their cookies--they definitely deserved them.

It's senior season!

I'm looking for a good looking Class of '08 senior to be plastered all over my promotional materials. (I know, sounds like fun, right? *wink*) If you know of anyone who might be interested, the lucky guy or girl gets a free session and 10% off prints. I've got a couple of really fun ideas, including heading into the city for some urban shots, hopping on the railroad tracks and perhaps heading out to one of Berks' parks for more traditional shots. I'm also highlighting my senior coffee table books. They're 20 pages in a 10x10 size and are a unique way to showcase senior portraits--kind of like a personal yearbook--and I design it customized for each senior. It can be personalized with favorite memories, lyrics, poems, or whatever to remember the high school years, or just keep it simple and let the photos shine! Plus, I'll grab a few shots of each senior with his/her best friends during the shoot to include as special extras in the book. I'm offering a cool $50 savings on the 10x10 book just for seniors now through August 31st.

Senior sessions include outfit and location changes--go natural and conduct outdoors at one of Berks' pristine parks, or get grungy and we'll head downtown for a more urban feel. Glam it up or keep it formal with indoor shoots on backgrounds. It's up to you (and your parents, of course. :)

Email me at jennifer@jenniferbretonphotography.com or visit my website for more info and savings for all senior sessions under my "specials" section.
